Several years ago I scanned many of the pictures that our family (mainly mom and dad) had taken while we were growing up. Some of the pictures come from Pat when lent me one of the boxes of slides that they had been given when the house in Metamora was cleaned out. Other pictures I had been given earlier.
I think that most of the family enjoyed these pictures and memories, thus I would like to once again resurrected the project. If there are other members of the family - mainly those in the younger generation that would like to be added to the list, please send me their email address. If you yourself are not interested in being a recipient of these materials, please let me know and I will delete your name from the distribution list.
With that said, here is today's installment of the John and Mildred Tripp family photo history. Any erroneous information provided here, please let me know. Any additional information you can add , please let me know that as well.
Over the next few days I will send out pictures that were taken in May-June of 1966. The first of these are the Graduates.
In the first picture we find Susie and her new husband Chuck Prior graduating from Defiance College in Defiance Ohio. Susie receiving a degree in math and Chuck a degree in business.
In the second picture we find Bill and a friend of his Dave Winn Graduating from the next to the last graduating class from Metamora High School (the last class to graduate from MHS was mine). An interesting note - The Metamora High School mascot was a Tiger and the school colors were orange and black, yet their caps and gowns are red. When I graduated the class colors were green and white. Students graduating from high schools today do not have the option of choosing their own class colors. At Logan high school where I worked for many years it was purple and white and those were the colors of the caps and gowns for every class that graduated while I was employed.
